Thanks to its capabilities and brilliant background, Kish Airline has succeeded to acquire membership in International Air Transport Association (IATA) with IATA code of Y9-780. The association was founded in Cuba’s Havana in 1945. It is the successor to the International Air Traffic Association, which as the first air services international organization was formed in 1919 at The Hague, Netherlands. At its founding, IATA consisted of 57 airlines from 31 countries, mainly from European and North American countries, and today it represents more than 230 airlines from 140 countries from all corners of the world.
IATA’S members are airlines that manage international flights and their country is the member of ICAO. IATA’S members are divided in two classes: active and associate. Both of them are allowed to take part in IATA’S assemblies, however only active members can vote.
